Similar to bad weather hit the northern region the prior day, the home side blew United away at the Etihad. It was a statement three goal triumph for their manager's side owing to goals from Knaak, Bunny Shaw and Hemp. It was a result that clearly signaled their leadership claims as they strengthened their place at the WSL pinnacle.
